I Understand That There Is No Proof That God Does Or Doesn’t Exist…?
but why do people believe in the power of prayer when it has been continually documented that sick people do not benefit from it. Every legitimate, unbiased, study proves this to be true. So, while we can’t prove God does or doesn’t exist, it certainly seems that He doesn’t care too much about us on an individual basis if He does exist. And if He doesn’t care about us, wouldn’t that mean that He’s not all good? And if He’s not all good, doesn’t that shatter the general perception of the concept of God for billions of people on this earth? Why do people continue to pray? Does anyone know of any studies that show that there is a link between prayer and recovery? Preferably not one conducted by a religious organization.http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/he…

You create your own reality……..
If you want to believe that a god exists then you create one. Even all this evidence is a pack of dung.
Evidence is still found using the human mind as a tool, using the human mind to prove something is as useful as trying to tell the colour of a beam of light by wearing blue tinted goggles

I understand differently; I have all the proof I need that God does exist and the proof is all around me.
“For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse:…”
In Christ

I know this isn’t quite the same thing, but there IS scientific evidence that holding a specific intention can and does effect change on the physical world. Read up on quantum physics and on the Intention Experiment:http://www.theintentionexperiment.com/th…
Now many Pagans like myself will say that there is no difference between prayer, intention, and magick. Christians will disagree, I am certain.

And what makes you think prayer doesn’t work? If God wants you to be healed, you will be. If not then, so be it! If the patient doesn’t want to live, then there’s no helping them! I’m a Christian and when I’m dying, I want them to let me go. I don’t want to be saved. Saved. What for? To savor more ridicule from people such as yourself? No, I’m want to be with my Father.

Simple. It feels good to pray in a hopeless situation.
I am deeply ashamed of it, but in tight spots, I have felt tempted to, despite my assertive atheism. Blame it on my upbringing (I regret nothing).

I think that God probably knows that it is going to be tested so he resorts to inaction.

Creation screams that there is a God and because it does, there is no excuse. Romans 1:18-20

Same reason people believe in God in the first place
It is all wishful thinking

but it is possible to prove that many stories of god are fake!

“The most important of all subjects: “WHO IS GOD?” We all talk about Him, certainly we love Him and we bear witness that He is the Greatest. We live in His Universe. There is nothing to compare with it, so there is nothing to compare with Him. But Who is He? We want to know our Creator, we want to know God. God Himself is not begotten They say, “because Allah(God) has never appeared in the form of any man”. They say Allah is not a man, but they cannot tell us what He is.
The Scholars of the world of religion– Jews, Christians, Muslims, whatever your religious persuasion may be– we have to know today Who God is that we not make a mistake and serve other than Him.
The Bible teaches us that God made man in His own image and His own likeness. It teaches us that He breathes, sorrows, sees and hears, loves and hates. The stench of wickedness reaches His nostrils. The Bible teaches us that Abraham met Him in the plains of Mamre. Three men came to Abraham and the Bible declares that one of them was the Lord. Sarah came out of her tent and said, “Lord, if I found favour, pass not away. Lord, if you are hungry, I will feed you. Sit down, Lord, it you are tired.” How can you feed a spirit? How can you sit down if you have nothing to sit down on? I am not finished with the Bible. It says that Enoch walked with God. Moses walked with Him and spoke with Him face to face as a man speaketh to his friend. All throughout the Bible, we are taught of a man, not some spook !
What about the Holy Qur’an? The Holy Qur’an uses the personal pronoun “I”. The “I” belongs to whom? It uses the soft pronoun “We”. Does God have associates? Does He have partners? Why say “We”? God Himself revealed the book and knows best the language. Why did He use the language of a human being? Who is God? The Attributes in the Holy Qur’an are not the Attributes of a Spirit, they are the Attributes of man in whom the Spirit dwells. Allah is the Beneficent, the Merciful, the Powerful, the Life-Giver, the Sustainer, the Securer etcWhat is Islam? Islam is the Nature of God Himself. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad has taught us that Allah (God) is Self-Created, meaning He was not begotten. He had no mother nor father and first act creation is woman she is (Second self of God )and Key to the Kingdom of Heaven. He is the Originator of Himself and of all things. In His Self- Origination, His act of Creation by His Will is to create man or to make man. In creating us, He created us from the Essence of Himself. The Holy Qur’an teaches us, “O people, keep your duty to your Lord, Who created you from a single being and created its mate from the same kind and spread from the two many men and women.

the misconception is that god is bad because he lets bad things happen to good people, but nobody is truly good, you may try to justify goodness by comparing with human standards but how flawed is that, a relative good, that would make many historic atrocities justifiable.
Prayer is merely a request for grace, that is why people pray because they are asking for grace.
If there is no God and no afterlife, and physical death is inevitable, as well as decay and entropy, then there is no point to anything there is no point in being considerate of other because they will die anyways, there is no point living because nothing we ever enjoy or make will last, do you realize how depressing that is? Nothing that can last? no eternal God? no afterlife? No purpose?

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Your Soul or your mind is the one that will stand in judgment, Which is your Spirit.
What God created in his own image was the soul of the man, Which is your Spirit
That is why you never seen a word come out of your mouth, you only here a sound
have you ever seen a Spirit leaving the body.
have you ever seen a Spirit entry into a woman womb.
The reason why you never see a Word come out of you mouth is because the word is God.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
That why you never see a Spirit entry into a woman womb.
That why you never see a Spirit leaving the body.
Don’t believe me go to the mirror and started talking see that you see the word come out of your
mouth. go to your bath room and call your wife, children, mother,Father,or friend. They will answer
you but they will not see the word come out of your mouth. that my friend,is Spirit The same as Lord
our God.God is a Spirit
